David Sneesby

David became a Partner in July 2014 after the merger of HS Partners Pty Ltd with Merrotts, bringing decades of experience in accounting, audit, and corporate roles.

His extensive expertise in both audit and business services benefits a diverse client base, ranging from SMEs, SMSFs as well as private and public companies.

David’s previous experience includes roles in both Australian and international accounting.
Commencing his accounting career in northern New South Wales in 1990, David moved to Brisbane in 1998 to join a large, national accounting firm working in both audit and business services roles.

In 2001, he joined an Austrian based company as Corporate Head of Internal Audit. This role involved sharing of best practice internal control procedures across 18 countries, applying International Financial Reporting Standards and assisting with the issue of a 180 million euro bond to fund the company’s international expansion.

David has a commitment to the community, highlighted by his work as a member of the Diocesan Audit and Risk Committee of the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane.

He has also provides services to Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, including the CA Masterclass and Public Practice programs.
